PLEASE PLEASE HELP(you don't have to be a fashion expert to answer this)?
I'm going to high school tomorrow as a freshman. I am wearing a army green tank top with a white lace cami under it with short shorts. the tank top says, "You can't break my heart" with a red foil small heart on the side of it. My mom's okay with it, she just doesn't like the writing on the shirt. my dad HATES it, he thinks it looks like i'm going to the beach. (it's supposed it be really hot tomorrow anyways) Is it really that bad to wear something like that, or is it just my parents?
Ah that was my mistake when i said short short. i don't mean like the shorts where it's so short you can see your pockets. It's the type that is above your knees, but not that short
You should be who you are and wear what makes you feel comfortable. That being said, don't wear anything too short because the last thing you want to do on your first day is to wait for your parents to bring you a new pair of shorts or to be forced to wear gym shorts because your shorts are too short.
I was never into graphic t-shirts, personally, because they give off a younger vibe. Wearing a solid colored tank or shirt, accessorizing with a cute cardigan and some necklaces or a scarf will give off a more mature look than a graphic tank top/shorts ensemble.
